Dr. Volker loves answering our patient’s questions, because in his experience, the more someone knows, the healthier their teeth usually are! That’s why he’s taken the time to answer some of our most popular questions below. If there is anything else you’d like to ask that hasn’t been covered here, be sure to give us a call.
We (as well as the American Dental Association) recommend at least twice a year, or once every six months. Some patients may benefit from more frequent visits, but two is usually enough for the average person with no outstanding dental issues.
Yes! Dent-Care Dental welcomes patients of all ages, and this includes the youngest members of your family. We know how to keep little ones calm as we provide the gentle and effective care they need.
If rinsing and flossing around the tooth doesn’t help, go ahead and give us a call. Even minor dental pain could indicate a serious problem, but we can take care of it right away with a same-day emergency appointment. In the meantime, take an OTC medication or rinse with warm salt water to lessen any discomfort.
Switch to a soft-bristled brush if you aren’t using one already, and try cleaning your teeth with a lighter touch for a few days. If the bleeding continues, then you likely have early-stage gum disease, in which case you should give us a call. We can take care of it before it causes any lasting damage.
This answer will be unique for each patient. Often, we can repair damaged or decayed teeth in a single appointment thanks to our on-site lab, but if the tooth has to ultimately be removed and replaced, this can extend the process by a few weeks or months. We can let you know for sure when you come to see us for an appointment.
The timeline for dental implants is different for everyone, ranging from a few months to close to a year for more advanced cases. Many factors go into the length of an implant procedure, and rather than guessing, we can give you a definitive estimate when you come to see us for an in-person consultation.
Most likely yes! Dent-Care Dental is in-network with many dental insurance plans, and we recommend giving us a call with your policy information nearby so we can discuss how much we can help you save at your next appointment.
