MEET THE DOCTORS

Christopher P. Kitson, DDS

Dr. Kitson established Dent-Care Dental in 1988. He graduated from Liverpool University School of Dental Surgery in 1978. After practicing in England for several years, Dr. Kitson graduated from NYU in 1985. Dr. Kitson is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the New York State Dental Association, and the Queens County Dental Association. He serves as a voluntary board member at the New York School for Medical & Dental Assistants. Additionally, he has been designated by the USTA as the on-call dentist for the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament for the past ten years.  Dr. Kitson is a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Sunnyside, having served in several leadership positions, including President.

Arthur R. Volker, DDS, MSEd, FAGD

A Woodside native, Dr. Volker graduated from Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery, and completed a General Practice Residency at the New York Hospital of Queens. He is an attending at Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility, where he supervises dental residents performing clinical procedures.  Dr. Volker lectures on various dental topicsto dental residents and students, medical students and physicians.  He serves as Vice-Chairman of the hospital’s Graduate Medical Education Committee, and is the hospital’s dental technology liaison to the NYC Health and Hospital Corporation. He is currently co-authoring a chapter in an upcoming textbook on dental implants. Dr. Volker is certified to perform Invisalign as well as “Six Month Smiles™” adult orthodontic treatment. Dr. Volker was the recipient of the esteemed Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry.  Additionally, Dr. Volker is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Queens County Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Steinway Dental Study Club, and the Special Care Dental Association.
